German Grand Prix in trouble?

Financial difficulties are threatening the Belgian Grand Prix and now another circuit is under financial pressure: Hockenheim. The management of the German circuit needs to find a solution by the end of April 2006.
Fortunately, the state of Baden-Württemberg, where is the circuit is located, is ready to help and save the German Grand
Prix. This is good news... and Mercedes will certainly agree: their headquarters are located in Stuttgart, the capital of
Baden-Württemberg.
In compensation for the state’s help, the circuit could adopt the name of Hockenheim Baden-Württemberg.
The state of Baden-Württemberg is requesting that the new portion of the circuit and the Mercedes grandstands be sold to
a leasing corporation. This transaction should bring close to 25 million Euros in additional funding.
